With the Regional Airport so much in the news, the newly organized Airport Authority has scheduled an open house to highlight recent improvements to the Terminal and a new Multi-Use Hanger, built with the help of state bonding.

The Open House will be held August 30, from 5 to 7pm.

Meanwhile, Hedrick has been working on lease negotiations with the I.F.L. Group, the air freight company that flies packages for United Parcel Service and Federal Express out of Thief River Falls, sometimes loading in very harsh conditions. Hedrick says the Airport Authority would like to see I.F.L. keep their two, Falcon 20 aircraft in the hanger, with loading and unloading and aircraft maintenance needs all indoors.
