Carl Ferber, 54, of Thief River Falls, MN died suddenly on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Sanford Health in Thief River Falls, MN with his loving family at his side.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. John Golv and Rev. Ale Tulu officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls MN.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday at the church.

Carl Erwin Ferber was born on December 16, 1956 in Thief River Falls, MN the son of Erwin and Connie (Trosvig) Ferber. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN. He attended Knox Elementary, Franklin Middle School, and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1975. Carl attended the AVTI following high school where he completed the sales and marketing program.

Carl has had an extensive career in automobile sales and management in several communities including Grafton, ND, Grand Forks, ND and for the last 14 years has served as the Sales Manager at Northern Motors in Thief River Falls, MN.

On August 14, 1993, Carl was united in marriage to Rhonda West at the Evangelical Free Church in Grafton, ND. They lived in Grafton, ND, Grand Forks, ND and in 1998 moved to Thief River Falls which was the same year their son, Brady was born.

Carl enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling, and spending time with his family; and was an active member of the Lions Club in Thief River Falls.

Survivors include his loving wife, Rhonda; son, Brady both of Thief River Falls; mother, Connie Ferber of Thief River Falls; four sisters, Rebecca (Guy) Sternal of Steilacoom, WA, Karen (Gary) Rustin of Rochester, MN, Debra (Roger) Hoversten, Ruth (Keith) Christensen of Thief River Falls;Brea and Ashley and many relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Erwin Ferber in 1995; and his grandparents, Carl and Adelheid Ferber and Helmer and Pearl Trosvig.
