Turkey Italian 13 Jan 12
  • 1 pound ground raw turkey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Parsley
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Poultry seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic flakes
  • 1/8 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 5 tablespoons fine dry bread crumbs
  • 2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 can (8 oz.) unsalted tomato sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Oregano
  • 4 ounces shredded part skim Mozzarella Cheese

Combine first 6 ingredients; toss lightly. Combine bread crumbs and Italian seasoning; spread on a sheet of wax paper. Place one sixth of the meat mixture on crumbs; with palm of hand, flatten into oval patty. Press into crumbs until lightly coated on both sides; repeat with remaining meat. Arrange patties in a single layer on a shallow non-stick, rectangular baking pan that has been coated with vegetable oil cooking spray. Bake at 450 degrees for 12-15 minutes; turn with spatula. Combine tomato sauce with chicken soup mix and oregano; pour over patties. Continue baking another 10 minutes, until sauce is thick and bubbling. Sprinkle patties with cheese; return to oven for 2 minutes, until cheese is melted. Delicious!
