Thief River Falls Senior basketball player Lindsey Guzek joined an elite group of athletes on Monday night when she scored her 1,000 career point in the Prowler’s 80 to 32 win over Badger/Greenbush/Middle River.  Guzek becomes the fifth Prowler Girl’s Basketball player to achieve that mark.  

Guzek, who has been a member of the Prowler Varsity team since 2008, led here team with 28 points in the win and completed her march to 1,000, appropriately enough, at the free throw line.   Guzek was a 2006/2007 National Champion for the 12-13 year old girl’s age group in the Elk’s Hoop Shoot competition.

The win by the Prowlers improves their season record to 21-and-3, and are currently second in 8AAA North sub-section standings.  Thief River Falls will wrap up it’s regular season with a road game against the Ponies of Warren/Alvarado/Oslo on Thursday, February 23rd.  The Ponies are currently 22-and-3 on the season, and sit in second place in the  8A West sub-section standings.
