The Northland Pioneer Women’s & Men’s Basketball Teams wrapped up their regular season at home on Wednesday night with a sweep of the Itasca Community College Vikings.

The Lady Pioneers locked up the #1 spot in the Northern Division with a 77 to 44 win.  The Pioneer defense forced 35 Itasca turn-overs, and all 10 Lady Pioneers scored in the contest.  With the win the Lady Pioneers finish the regular season with 19-7 record.  Northland will now host the Regional tournament in early March.

The Pioneer Men led wire-to-wire to pick up their 16th win of the season, 73 to 47.  The Pioneer Men shot 40% from the field and dominated the board, out-rebounding the Vikings 56 to 30 in the win.  The Pioneer Men wrap up the regular season with a 16-11 record.  Northland will now advance to the MCAC State Tournament next weekend at Anoka Community College.
