The commander of the National Guard’s 34th Infantry Red Bull Division, General David Elicerio is asking Minnesotans to remember service and sacrifice on this Memorial Day.

Memorial Day ceremonies are scheduled across the listening area, including Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, where services begin at 10:30 this morning – an event we will carry live on Thief River Falls Radio, hosted by Navy Veteran Lee Richards. Today’s service will be followed by lunch at the VFW Club in down town Thief River Falls.

Memorial Day Ceremonies begin at 8:30am this morning with a flag raising at the Oklee Area Veterans Memorial Park featuring a flag that has flown over the Capitol Building in Washington DC. The traditional program will follow at 9:30am at the Oklee School.

Middle River will hold their Memorial Day Program beginning at 10:30 this morning in the Middle River School Gym. The program will be followed by the Planting of Crosses at Riverside Park with Diner to follow at the American Legion.

Memorial Day Services will be held at the Plummer City Park at 10:30am with lunch to follow at the Plummer Legion Club.

American Legion Post #427 of Newfolden will present a Memorial Day Program at 10:30am at the Community Center in Newfolden. Graveside services will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

And Memorial Day Services will be held beginning at 11am this morning at Riverside Park in Red Lake Falls.
