Harff Takes Alaska Job 02 Jul 12

She has led the local Medical Community through the ups and downs of historic change, but Sanford Thief River Falls CEO, Chris Harff, is moving on.

Harff was named Friday as the new Administrator of Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau Alaska, a position she is expected to take up in August.

Harff was one of three finalists for the job with the Bartlett Board of Directors looking for an administrator with both clinical and executive experience.

In addition to her time in Thief River Falls, Harff was also Chief Operations Officer and Quality Resource Director at Monticello-Big Lake Community Hospital and has career experience as a trauma nurse at Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center.

Harff holds a nursing degree and an MBA from the University of Minnesota as well as a law degree from William Mitchell College in St. Paul.

It was just last year that the Bartlett Board of Directors decided to hire its own CEO after more than two decades with an outside management company.
