26 year old Marcus Williamson appeared Thursday in Pennington County District Court before Judge Donald Aandal – charged in an alleged assault that resulted in a stand-off with Law Enforcement that ended peacefully last Sunday.

No plea was entered during the appearance, with Judge Aandal setting bond and the next hearing date on September 13th.

The assault was reported to the Law Enforcement Center one week ago; Williamson accused of holding the woman against her will after an argument escalated into a physical altercation, verbal threats, threats with a handgun and rape.

Williamson continues to be held in custody at the Pennington County Law Enforcement Center.
