The Thief River Falls Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the appointment of an interim director, to temporarily fill the shoes of Ben Anderson, who accepted a position with University of Minnesota Extension in Moorhead last month.

Teacher and Community Organizer, Helen Anderson, has agreed to take up the position as Interim Executive Director of the Chamber, coordinating events and activities and overseeing the process of hiring a permanent replacement.

Also on staff at the Chamber, Diana Josephson, the former director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau in Thief River Falls. Ryan Walseth – Chairman of the Chamber Board of Directors – says they are fortunate to have that combination of talent working for their members and are looking forward to their move this fall to the Carnagie Library in downtown Thief River Falls and to the Great American Block Party in September, as well as Mayoral and Legislative Debates already on the calendar in October.
