On Time Start for TRF Schools 23 Aug 12

An on time start …

That is the word from Buildings and Grounds Supervisor Carl Clark, with a 54 million dollar school improvement project underway in the Thief River Falls School District. Clark says Challenger Elementary and Lincoln High School are both undergoing extensive construction projects but will be ready when students go back to class September 4th.

At Lincoln High School, Principal Shane Zutz has scheduled a mandatory all school assembly for students and staff at 8:30am on the first day of class to review “logistical aspects” of student life at Lincoln during construction.

Parking will be clearly marked in the East Lot, which is paved, with a South East gravel lot and a “Students Only”lot on an area of grass to the South East. Daily Lunch will be served in the Music Hallway with a temporary cafeteria in the New Gym and some re-assignment of Sophomore Lockers since some of last year’s lockers were removed during Construction. The Junior Class will all be assigned New Lockers in the Junior Hallway, with numbers and combinations handed out the first day of class.

Meanwhile – Freshman Orientation is going ahead as scheduled and for students at Franklin Middle School, Back to School Night will be held next Wednesday, doors open at 4:30pm with a mini-schedule starting at 5. No Back to School Night is scheduled this year at Challenger Elementary School.
