Two City Road Work Projects Start Next Week 28 Jul 16

Beginning next week the city of Thief River Falls will begin some late season road work.

Community Services Director Mark Borseth said there are two areas of concern the public should be aware of.

Davis Avenue will be limited to local traffic only for a short time before motorists will be asked to find an alternate route as the street is closed down for a final overlay.

The second area of concern concerns straightening out Greenwood.

Borseth added traffic will eventually be detoured along Spruce Avenue. Davidson Construction is the contractor for the project. The traffic signals are due to be placed in 2018. Borseth said another project is the Safe Route to School, a $200,000 project being done with grant money.
