(Los Angeles, CA) — The Timberwolves wrap up their three-game road trip tonight in Los Angeles against the Clippers. The Wolves have lost the first two on the trek in Dallas and San Antonio to slip to 14-and-28 on the season. LA has won seven straight to move to 29-and-14.

(St. Paul, MN) — The Wild continue their four-game home-stand tonight against the Arizona Coyotes at The X. Minnesota opened the stand with a 4-3 loss to New Jersey on Tuesday. That snapped a four-game winning streak for the Wild, who are 28-10-and-5 overall.

(Cooperstown, NY) — Jeff Bagwell, Tim Raines and Ivan Rodriguez are heading to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. All three received the necessary 75% of the vote from the Baseball Writers Association of America required for election. Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds and Sammy Sosa fell well short.

(Oakland, CA) — The Oakland Athletics have officially signed third baseman Trevor Plouffe to a one-year contract. The deal was reported last week to be worth $5-million plus incentives. Plouffe spent his first six-plus big league seasons with the Twins, who cut him in November. The 30-year-old hit .260 with 12 home runs and 47 RBI in 84 games last season.
