State Science Competition Held Later this Month 02 Mar 17

Several Thief River Falls Students will advance to State Competition following the Regional Science Fair held last month at Bemidji State University.

Advancing to State, Franklin Students, Tryston Stark, Eleanor Brickson, Benjamin Van Schaick and Ethan Lunsetter.

Earning Recognition; Brooke Bakke won the Award for Outstanding Middle School Chemistry Project, Lundsetter won the Headwaters Emerging Scientists Award as well as Outstanding Engineering Project and the Three Suns Young Engineer Award, The BSU Nursing Department Award went to Van Schaick and Brickson won Bronze in Overall Middle School Science and the Broadcom Masters Scholarship Award.

18 projects and 8 papers advanced to Regions from the local competition, with Purple Project Ribbons to Stark, Lundsetter, Brickson and Van Schaick.

The State Competition will be held later this Month.
