Vocational Enrollment Bill Moving Through Legislature 07 Mar 17

A High school/trades bill has moved ahead at Capitol.

The bill making its way through the state legislature would create a new pilot program with vocational post-secondary enrollment options for students as an alternative to college courses.

Bill author, Representative Jim Nash says the bill would provide one million dollars in tax credits to businesses to create an apprenticeship program with local school districts. The funds would be divided equally between urban, suburban and out-state school districts.
