(Minneapolis, MN) — Lance Stephenson is sticking around a bit longer in Minnesota. ESPN reports the Timberwolves will sign the veteran guard to a second 10-day contract today. Stephenson has dealt with a sprained ankle. He’s averaged 4.3 points in four games with the T’wolves thus far.

(Eden Prairie, MN) — Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway is hanging up his cleats after 11 NFL seasons. Greenway officially announced his retirement yesterday at Winter Park. The 34-year-old made two Pro Bowls and missed only four games in his entire career. Greenway registered a career-low 41 combined tackles last season. The Vikings selected him 17th overall out of Iowa in the 2006 NFL Draft.

(Washington, DC) — The Golden Gophers are gearing up for the Big Ten Tournament, which starts today in Washington, DC. Minnesota earned the four-seed and a double-bye. The Gophers will play Friday.

(Reno, NV) — Top-seeded University of North Dakota meets Portland State tomorrow night in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Tournament. The Vikings defeated North Arizona to advance. UND and PSU split their two meetings this season. The Fighting Hawks finished the regular season 19-and-9 and 14-and-4 in conference.
