Robotics and technology held center stage as the Thief River Falls Board of Education met in regular Monday night.

The Board extended congratulations to the Robotics team for placing 3rd at the Lake Superior Region Competition. They received the excellence in Engineering Award and will move on to state competition in the Twin Cities with a chance to qualify for the nationals. The Board also accepted the resignation of Elise Row, Head Coach of Varsity Speech. Board Chair Mike Spears presented a plaque to Mike Lundgren, former sports editor of the local newspaper for his 47 years of coverage to Prowler Athletics.
In their move to going paperless, Board members received some instruction on their computers with additional training forthcoming in upcoming meetings.
Sara Olson gave a presentation on the CORE values and after some discussion on wording, the Board approved the final statement. The value statement will be reviewed and assessed next February. Lee Richards, Thief River Falls Radio
