Record Amount of Meth and Pills Seized Last Year 21 Mar 17

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety says an alarming amount of drugs are being seized in the State.

DPS Commissioner Mona Dohman says last year Violent Crime Enforcement Teams seized a record amounts of methamphetamine and prescription pills.   

Brian Marquart, head of the state’s Violent Crime Enforcement Teams says they seized 488 pounds of meth  last year, a 112% increase from 2015, and recovered nearly 60,000 prescription pills, a 231% increase over 2015.
