Former School Administrator Makes First Court Appearance 13 Apr 17

Bail has been set at $100,000 conditional, $150,000 unconditional for a St. Vincent area man facing 10 felony counts of possession of pornographic work involving minors.

Warren Nelson Anderson, Jr., 55, made his first appearance yesterday before District Judge Eric Schieferdecker in Kittson County District Court in Hallock.

Anderson, a former administrator with the Sterling West School in Pembina, is accused of collecting the pornographic material on his home computer, the down loads dated as early as last summer, the most recent in March of this year.

Judge Schieferdecker granted Anderson’s application for a public defender and set Anderson’s next court appearance for April 24th.

Sterling West is one in a series of campuses managed by the Plymouth Brethern Christian Church all across the country, connected by Virtual Classroom in regional models. The Sterling West School at Pembina is associated with similar campuses all across the West, Pacific Northwest and Mid-West Region, including Minneapolis. As indicated by the court documents, none of the charges appear to have any direct connection to the school, staff or students.

Although adult pornography is not illegal in the United States, possession of any pornographic material involving minors, whether digital or hard copy is a felony.
