Robots, Wellnesss & Calendars on Agenda 24 Apr 17

The Thief River Falls Board of Education meets in regular session Monday.

Among agenda items will be a special thank you to Digi-Key and an anonymous donor for their contribution to the First Robotics Competition team as they head to St. Louis national competition.  The Robotics team is seeking a total of $5000 for their trip to the “Show Me” state.

Rhonda Amundson will give a presentation of the Wellness Fair and the Technical Department will continue their presentation on utilizing computers. Two weeks ago Superintendent Bradley Bergstrom presented a version of the 2017-2018 School Calendar.  Bergstrom said the new calendar did not have “snow days” because the committee planned on e-learning to make up homework.  The Board wasn’t sure they wanted to present the calendar to the public and later, possibly adding flex time if e-learning wasn’t the answer.

The revised calendar will be presented to the Board Monday for their approval.  The meeting gets underway at 6pm at the DSC.
