North Dakota Makes a Bid for Digi-Key 10 May 17

North Dakota has stepped up in a bid from that state to entice a huge expansion at Digi-Key, with a visit to Thief River Falls Tuesday from Governor Doug Burgum.

The one-on-one and facility tour was confirmed late last night by company officials who told our News Room Governor Burgum had “become aware of the proposed expansion and had asked for a private meeting to better understand DigiKey’s future direction and business strategy.”

DigiKey – which is headquartered in Thief River Falls – already has a presence in North Dakota with a satellite facility near Hector Field in Fargo.

DigiKey Officials had what was they characterized as a “good meeting” Tuesday, that included a facility tour for “the Governor and his team.”
