Expect Delays as Road Construction Season Hits NWMN 07 Jun 17

With the temperatures hitting the 80′s, the start of summer also means the start of the road construction season.

Motorists can expect delays on some area highways beginning Monday, as contractors complete projects to extend the life of the pavement surface. Highways 1, 3 and 32 in Marshall, Pennington, Polk and Red Lake Counties.

The highway segments scheduled for preventative maintenance include State Aid highway 3, commonly referred to as the Cut-across, from the Polk County Line to St. Hilaire, also 28 miles of Highway 1 from Warren to Thief River Falls and Highway 32 for 32 miles from Fertile to St. Hilaire.  Motorists should be on the watch for a pilot car and flaggers controlling traffic and should plan ahead for daily lane closures in the area where crews are working.
