(Brooklyn, NY) — Former Bulls All-Star wing Jimmy Butler is heading to Minneapolis. The Timberwolves acquired Butler from the Bulls last night for guards Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn and the seventh overall pick in Thursday’s draft. Minnesota also got the 16th overall pick from Chicago and used it on Creighton center Justin Patton. Butler, 27, averaged 23.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.5 assists for the Bulls last season.

(Brooklyn, NY) — Washington guard Markelle Fultz is the top pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. The Philadelphia 76ers selected Fultz number-one overall last night.

(Minneapolis, MN) — The White Sox avoided a three-game sweep with a 9-0 rout of the Twins in Minnesota. Nik Turley fell to 0-and-2 after failing to make it out of the big first inning. Minnesota stranded six men on base. The four-hour, 50-minute rain delay prior to the game was the longest in Twins history.

(Cleveland, OH) — The Twins begin an 11-game road trip tonight in Cleveland with the first of three against the Indians. Minnesota will also visit Boston and Kansas City for four-game series’. Adalberto Mejia will start tonight for the Twins. He is 1-and-3 with a 5.53 ERA. The Tribe will send out right-hander Trevor Bauer, who is 6-and-5 with a 5.54 ERA.

(St. Paul, MN) — The complete 2017-18 NHL regular-season schedule is out. The Wild open up the season with a three-game road trip starting in Detroit on October 5th at the new Little Caesar’s Arena. As announced Wednesday, the home opener is October 14th against Columbus. The Wild close out the season April 7th at San Jose.

(Chicago, IL) — The NHL Draft gets underway tonight in Chicago. The Wild do not have any picks in the first two rounds. There first selection will be in round three. The Wild have a total of six picks.

(St. Paul, MN) — The Lynx look to get back in the win column tonight when they host the Washington Mystics. Minnesota fell 98-93 to Connecticut on Saturday for its first loss of the season. The Lynx are now 9-and-1.
