Injuries Reported in 2 Vehicle Accident 29 Jun 17

One person was injured in a two vehicle accident yesterday afternoon on Highway 2 in Polk County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Jesse Adkins, 57, of Twin Valley, was injured when the car he was driving collided with a turning pickup, the collision temporarily blocking the east bound traffic lane.

Adkins was taken to Riverview Hospital in Crookston with injuries officers at the scene described as Non-Life Threatening.

The driver of the second vehicle, a Ford Pickup, Peter Mooney of Fisher, escaped injury.

Officers say the Adkins vehicle was east bound, the pickup turning from westbound Highway #2 into Fisher, with assistance at the scene from Fisher Police and Fire Departments, along with Polk County Deputies.

Both drivers were wearing seat-belts at the time of the accident, reported just before 4pm Wednesday. Officers say alcohol was *not* a factor in the accident.
