TRFFD Starts Week Busy with Pair of Calls Monday 05 Jul 17

A busy start to the week for Thief River Falls Fire Fighters called out twice Monday, with no injuries in unrelated vehicle and kitchen fires.

According to a spokesman at the Fire Hall, the first call for assistance came in at 6:30pm to a 2004 Dodge Caravan on fire in the 1200 block of Pennington Avenue. Damage reported to the vehicle at around $1000

The second call right around 10pm to a kitchen fire at the Laurel Johnson home in the 100 block of Kendall Avenue North. Fire fighters quickly had the situation under control with damage confined to the kitchen stove, an estimated $500 damage.

Again, no injuries reported.
