Administrator Resignation on School Board Agenda 10 Jul 17

A number of employment issues before the Thief River Falls Board of Education this evening including the resignation of long time school administrator, Shane Zutz.

Our Education Correspondent, Lee Richards, says Zutz will leave the position at Lincoln High School August 7th after accepting the role as Director of Human Resources at Digi-Key.

The Board is also expected to add a full time Elementary Teaching position effective this fall, and approve teaching positions at Challenger School for Kelsie Hagen, Lauren Johnson and newly named Girls Hockey Coach Brett Johnson, as well as posting for an Interim High School Principal in the wake of the Shane Zutz resignation.

The District will also resolve contracts for 54 Extra-Curricular Assignments this evening and adopt a long term Facility Maintenance Plan along with Minnesota State School Board Association policy revisions as well as student and staff recognition.

Presentations tonight will include Curriculum, Technology, Safety and Family Education.

Tonight’s meeting begins at 6pm at the District Service Center.
