(Mankato, MN)  –  The Vikings are less than two weeks from opening training camp at Minnesota State University-Mankato.  The first full-team practice kicks off on Thursday, July 27th.  All practices are open to the public and the media.  The Vikings open the preseason on August 10th with a road game at the Buffalo Bills.

(Houston, TX) — Mike Fiers put together a solid start as the Astros dumped the Twins, 5-3, in Houston. Kennys Vargas and Ehire Adrianza homered in defeat for the Twins. Kyle Gibson was charged with his eighth loss. Minnesota is now 26-and-17 on the road.

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Twins play host to the New York Yankees today to open a three-game series. Adalberto Mejia takes the mound for Minnesota, which sits at 46-and-45 on the year. The Twins are  1 1/2 games behind the Cleveland Indians for first in the AL Central. 

(St. Paul, MN) — The Lynx reeled off an 18-0 run in the third quarter as they knocked off the Phoenix Mercury, 81-66, at the Xcel Energy Center. Minnesota earned its second straight win over Phoenix after beating them on the road Friday. Sylvia Fowles led the Lynx with 18 points. They’ll host Wings on Wednesday.

(Wimbledon, England) — Roger Federer is the men’s champion of Wimbledon for a record eighth time. Federer swept Marin Cilic in straight sets 6-3, 6-1, 6-4. It is the Swiss superstar’s 19th Grand Slam title.

(Loudon, NH) — Denny Hamlin took the checkered flag at the Overton’s 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Hamlin led 54 of the 301 laps en route to his first win of the season and 30th of his NASCAR career. Kyle Larson, Martin Truex Jr., Matt Kenseth and Kevin Harvick rounded out the top five.

(Silvis, IL) — Bryson DeChambeau is celebrating his first career PGA win. DeChambeau posted a one-shot victory at the John Deere Classic on Sunday. DeChambeau shot a six-under 65 in the final round and finished 18-under for the championship. Patrick Rodgers ended alone in second at 17-under.
