Paddle Canoe on the Red Lake River in Thief River Falls 07 Sep 17

River Recreation enthusiasts, community officials and the public will be welcome next week when the state marks a half century of trail designation on the Red Lake River, with an event at Bill LaFave Park, Thief River Falls.

Join International Water Institute and Wilderness Inquiry on the Red Lake River.  Learn about the river.  Paddle a 10-passenger Voyageur canoe! Wilderness will provide the 24 foot passenger canoes and the Water Institute will help facilitate.  Altru Safe Kids will be providing reduced rate life jackets for sale and the Red Lake Watershed District is providing free hot dogs!

This is a free, family event and open to the public.  All equipment will be provided.  The event will be held Monday, September 11 fro 4-7 pm at LaFave Park.  For more information contact Laura Stengrim at the CVB, 686-9785.
