UPDATE: Names Released in TRF Plane Crash Incident 23 Sep 17

Three people are dead following an airplane crash this morning near Thief River Falls.

Three people were killed in the crash of a single engine airplane near Thief River Falls Saturday morning.

Shortly before 8am this morning, the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a plane crash near the intersection of Center Avenue Northeast and 130th Street Northeast.  Upon arrival, emergency responders found a downed single-engine Cessna 182 and its occupants.  Three individuals were found deceased on the scene.  They have been identified as Moy Wing, 69, Brian Duke, 27, and Zach Ostertag, all of Rawlins, Wyoming.

Assisting at the scene were the Thief River Falls Police Department, St. Hilaire Fire and First Responders, Thief River Falls Ambulance, Thief River Falls Fire Department and the Minnesota State Patrol.  The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the accident.
