Injuries Reported in Hit and Run Accident 25 Sep 17

Two people were injured as authorities look for a second vehicle, that forced a van off the road and into a ditch Saturday Night on Highway #11 in Roseau County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Nelya Stepanyuk, 44, and Victoria Sepanyuk, 23, both of Loman, were injured when the vehicle they were riding in was struck from behind just before 10pm Saturday night. Both were taken to Life Care Hosptial in Roseau with injuries officers described as Non-Life Threatening.

The driver of the 2006 Honda Odyssey Van, Victor Stepanyuk, 46, and four children, including two toddlers, escaped injury.

State Troopers say the van was west bound when it was struck and pushed in the ditch by an unknown vehicle. The driver and all passengers were wearing seat-belts or strapped into secure child safety seats at the time of the accident, reported just before 10pm Saturday.
