Memorial Services will be held tomorrow in Lancaster, for a Kittson County Woman missing for more than three years before her body was recovered from a Lake Bronson inlet last spring.

The life of Dawn Carlson will be celebrated with services tomorrow in Lancaster.

Carlson disappeared in October of 2013 prompting a relentless search by the Kittson County Sheriff’s Department with Sheriff Steve Porter and Deputy Matt Vig recovering her body this past May, at last bringing closure to the family.

Dawn was a member of the Lancaster Graduating Class of 1988, a long time golfer, state qualifier and college player, who passed license testing to become a golf pro in 2001, working grounds maintenance and pro-shop in St. Cloud before moving on to Assistant Manager/Head Pro at the Cuyuna Country Club in Deerwood in 2002. Authorities know now that the car she was driving when she disappeared had careened off the road and submerged into an inlet area. The sheriff’s department recovered the remains following a renewed search effort last spring.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2pm at the Lancaster Covenant Church.

Dawn Joy Carlson was 47.
