Injuries Reported in Sugar Beet Truck Accident 09 Oct 17

A Thief River Falls driver was injured in an early weekend crash involving a truck hauling sugar beets.

Jade Rude, 65, was taken by ambulance to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks after the SUV they were driving was struck by a Mack Truck loaded with beets. The driver of the truck, Gregory Lundin, 38, of Bemidji was not injured.

Officers say Lundin failed to yield right of way to the Rude vehicle at the intersection of Polk County Roads #19 and #66 near East Grand Forks, the collision reported right around 10am Saturday morning.

The accident remains under investigation.
