Street and Utility Items on City Agenda Tonight 17 Oct 17

The Thief River Falls City Council meets in regular session tonight, with a number of agenda items at followed by a 7pm  Assessment Hearing on 2017 Street and Utility Improvements.

A number of labor items tonight including the question of Water Treatment Plant Operator and the addition of three full time Patrol Officers to fill open positions on the Thief River Falls Police Department.

The Council will also consider a resolution to replace the down town seasonal light displays with more efficient LED lighting, the estimated cost of replacing the 80 lamp post and over head lights at some $26,000 to $38,000. Past decorations have been purchased with $5,000 provided by the Chamber, the remainder from the City’s Revolving Loan Fund, current decorations were purchased in the mid 1990′s at a cost of just under $25,000.

Tonight’s meeting is open to the public, beginning at 5:30 at City Hall, the Historic Soo Line Depot.
