New Caterpiller Vehicles to be Manufactured Under Agreement with Textron 17 Nov 17

Caterpillar Incorporated yesterday announced a new line of utility vehicles, to be manufactured in Northwest Minnesota under an agreement with Textron/Thief River Falls.

The company debuted two utility vehicles Thursday, the gasoline-fueled Cat CUV82 and diesel-powered Cat CUV102D, both available at Caterpillar dealers next summer with additional models expected to follow.

The vehicles introduced yesterday both look like heavy-duty golf carts painted Caterpillar Yellow, to haul up to 1,000 pounds and tow up to 2,000 pounds with four-wheel drive and top speeds of 45 mph for the gas engine and 25 mph for diesel.

The utility vehicles are Caterpillar designed and tested, but will be manufactured by a third party – Textron / Thief River Falls.
