(Lake Buena Vista, FL)  –  The Twins are bolstering their starting rotation.  The Twins have signed former Yankees pitcher Michael Pineda to a two-year, $10-million contract.  Pineda underwent Tommy John surgery in July and will likely miss most of all of next season.  He will earn two-million-dollars next year and eight-million in 2019.  The 28-year-old right-hander went 8-and-4 with a 4.39 ERA in 17 starts with the Yankees last season.

(Minneapolis, MN)  –  The Timberwolves resume their five-game homestand tonight against the Sacramento Kings at Target Center.  Minnesota has split the first two games after losing to Philadelphia 118-112 in overtime on Tuesday.  The Wolves are 16-and-12 overall.  The Kings come in at 9-and-18.

(St. Paul, MN)  –  The Wild are also in action at home tonight as they host the Toronto Maple Leafs at the X.  Minnesota opened its three-game homestand with a 2-1 shootout victory over Calgary on Tuesday.  The Wild have won three straight to improve to 16-11-and-3 on the season.  The Leafs sit at 20-11-and-1.

(Minneapolis, MN)  –  The Vikings continue to prepare for Sunday’s home game against the Cincinnati Bengals.  The Vikes can clinch the NFC North Division title with a win.  Minnesota had its eight-game winning streak snapped with a 31-24 loss at Carolina last Sunday.  The Vikes fell to 10-and-3.  The Bengals are just 5-and-8.

(Minneapolis, MN)  –  The Golden Gophers are off the hardwood until next week.  Minnesota snapped its two-game skid with a 68-67 win over Drake on Monday.  The Gophers sit at 9-and-3 on the season.  They will host Oral Roberts next Thursday.
