Karlstad Teens Injured in Sunday Accident 15 Jan 18

Two Karlstad area teenagers were injured Sunday, when their vehicle rear-ended a semi tractor-trailer rig in Marshall County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the driver of the car; 18 year old Emily Bugge and her passenger; 16 year old Madison Bugge, both suffered non-life threatening injuries when the vehicle struck the  semi-trailer on an icy stretch of Highway 59 yesterday morning in Lincoln Township.

Both were taken to Sanford Thief River Falls for treatment.

The driver of the semi; 64 year old Allen Lyseng of Bemidji, was not injured.

State Troopers say both vehicles were north bound on the highway in snow and ice; all three wearing seat belts at the time of the accident, reported just after 10:30am.
