(Minneapolis, MN)  –  The Vikings are heading to Philadelphia for the NFC Championship Game.  Case Keenum connected with Stefon Diggs for a 61-yard touchdown as time expired to give the Vikings a 29-24 win over the Saints at US Bank Stadium.  The Vikings set up a date with the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game this Sunday in Philly.  The Patriots and Jaguars will meet in the AFC title game.

(Minneapolis, MN)  –  Jimmy Butler scored 24 points and Jeff Teague 22 as the Timberwolves defeated the Trail Blazers 120-103 in Minneapolis.  Karl-Anthony Thomas contributed 20 points and 11 boards in the victory.  Minnesota went 5-and-0 on its home-stand.  The Wolves visit Orlando tomorrow and Houston on Thursday before returning home.

(St. Paul, MN)  –  Brandon Sutter scored the winning goal with 2:10 left in overtime as the Canucks clipped the Wild 3-2 at The X.  Jason Zucker and Daniel Winnik scored for Minnesota, which had won its previous two.  Devan Dubnyk allowed all three goals on 25 shots.  The Wild are off until Saturday when Tampa Bay comes to town.

(Minneapolis, MN)  –  The Minnesota Twins are shoring up their bullpen with the signing of reliever Addison Reed.  ESPN reports the contract is worth 17-million-dollars over two seasons.  Reed made 77 appearances for the Red Sox and Mets last season and went 2-and-3 with 19 saves and a 2.84 ERA.

(University Park, PA)   –  The Golden Gophers visit Penn State tonight looking to snap a three-game losing streak.  Minnesota is coming off an 81-47 home loss to seventh-ranked Purdue on Saturday.  The Gophers fell to 13-and-6, including 2-and-4 in Big Ten play.  The Nittany Lions enter the tilt 13-and-6 and 3-and-3.

 

(Fargo, ND)  –  North Dakota State hosts rival North Dakota tomorrow night in Fargo.  The Bison blasted Oral Roberts 82-64 on Saturday to improve to 10-and-8 on the season and 2-and-2 in Summit League action.  The Fighting Hawks have won two in-a-row on the heels of an eight-game skid after Saturday’s 89-79 win over Weber State.  UND is 6-and-11 including 2-and-4 in Big Sky play.
