Two in Custody After Home Invasion and Stabbing 16 Feb 18

Two people are in custody after a violent home invasion this week in Northwestern Minnesota.

Captain Tory Jacobson,with the Moorhead Police Department, says it happened early Wednesday.

Two males kicked open the door of an apartment, the tenant was punched in the face, multiple times. His brother saw the altercation, armed himself with a knife and stabbed the suspect.

Just one hour later the suspect, Alberto St. Martin Lopez, 51, was reported seen with stab wounds, apprehended and taken to Essentia Hospital with critical injuries.
A second suspect, Mahammed Mahmod, 26, was arrested in Fargo and taken to North Dakota’s Cass County Jail.
