One Person in Custody Following High Speed Chase 01 Mar 18

One person is in custody following a high speed chase this week through two counties.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Department, Arron Jagol, 27, of Fertile, is accused of multiple charges after allegedly fleeing officers during an attempted traffic stop that followed a domestic assault early Tuesday Morning.

Officers say the incident began just before 2am on 120th Avenue Southwest, near the city of Fertile. Jagol sped away, initially at 30 to 40 miles per hour, accelerating to 100 miles per hour as the chase continued into Norman County.

Deputies say they terminated the pursuit when fog and ice made it too dangerous to continue, with Jagol was taken into custody a short time later by Norman County Officials, who found Jagol’s vehicle stuck in the ditch, some four miles away.
