(Portland, OR)  –  Karl Anthony-Towns went off for 34 points and 17 rebounds but it wasn’t enough as the Timberwolves lost to the Blazers 108-99 in Portland.  Andrew Wiggins added 21 points for Minnesota, which had won its previous two.  The Wolves wrap up their three-game road trip tonight in Utah.

(Glendale, AZ)  –  The Wild allowed four goals in the third period as they lost 5-3 to the Coyotes in Arizona.  Zach Parise, Mikko Koivu and Matt Cullen had the goals for Minnesota, which saw its five-game winning streak come to an end.  The Wild visit Colorado tonight before returning home.
(Indianapolis, IN)  –  Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer is acknowledging how important of a decision the team has this offseason.  Asked about the Vikes’ three quarterbacks all heading for free agency, Zimmer said yesterday the most difficult part is picking the right one.  He said if you pick the wrong one, the entire team can go downhill.

(Jupiter, FL)  –  Ehire Adrianza smacked a two-run homer as the Twins tied the Cardinals 3-3 in Grapefruit League action in Jupiter.  Bobby Wilson doubled in the other run, while starter Adalberto Mejia yielded two runs in three innings of work.  The Twins host the Blue Jays today in Fort Myers.

(Undated)  –  North Dakota smashed Sacramento State 90-73 last night.  The Fighting Hawks wrap up the regular-season tomorrow at Portland State.  Meanwhile, fifth-seeded North Dakota State faces fourth-seeded Fort Wayne on Sunday in the Summit League Tournament in Sioux Falls.  NDSU is 14-and-16 including 5-and-9 in Summit play.
